Risk Conducting Officer

Our client are US-based Asset Manager with over $50 billion in Assets Under Management (AUM). A market leading investor with a fantastic track record and year on year growth.

In line with expansion, they are now looking to recruit a new Conducting Officer Risk for their Luxembourg AIFM.

Position Overview:

The Risk Conducting Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, implementing risk management policies, and conducting risk assessments. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining the integrity and stability of our operations in accordance with CSSF guidelines and AIFMD regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the main point of contact with the CSSF and other regulatory authorities on risk management matters.
Develop, implement, and maintain a robust risk management framework in line with AIFMD regulations and CSSF guidelines.
Conduct regular risk assessments and monitor key risk indicators to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities.
Coordinate with internal teams to assess the risk profile of new and existing investment strategies and products.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of risk metrics, incidents, and breaches to senior management and the board of directors.
Review and update risk policies, procedures, and documentation to reflect changes in regulations and business activities.
Provide training and guidance to staff on risk management practices and compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Law, or related field; Master’s degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., FRM, PRM) is a plus.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in risk management or compliance within the asset management industry.
Strong knowledge of AIFMD regulations, CSSF guidelines, and Luxembourg regulatory environment.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Fluency in English; knowledge of French or German is considered an asset.
