Fund Controller – Asset Manager

Our client is a fast-growing Private Equity Firm investing in the Renewable and Sustainable Energy space.

They are set to launch further Funds this year and will be expanding their Luxembourg operation.

In line with this growth, they are looking for a new Fund Controller.

Job role:

This role is a critical role for the Group in Luxembourg. It offers an individual the opportunity to make a positive and material impact to the business. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who can work autonomously with a high degree of work ethic.
Oversight of performance of the fund, its accounting and financial statements, and reporting of the Fund.
Liaising with fund administrators, internal and external auditors and investors to ensure a correct and transparent assessment of the financial situation of the fund.
The person will have to track any inconsistency by the team and make sure it is corrected and delivered on time.

Responsibilities:

Reviewing quarterly NAV and capital account statements
Facilitate the distribution process of an investment fund, including coordination with distribution partners.
Preparing capital calls and distribution calculation
Reviewing capital calls and distribution notices
Running the quarterly management fees calculation
Leading the annual financial audit- liaising with external auditors
Being the main point of contact with central administrators, banks and regulators in Luxembourg and other jurisdictions where the assets/ SPVs are domiciled
Assist in the management of legal documentation and contracts.
Stay abreast of regulatory changes and ensure fund structures comply with relevant laws.
Reviewing corporate taxes and VAT filing.
Liaising with companies for legal and tax matters (tax structure, transfer pricing, acquisition, liquidation)
Keeping an eye on cash management of the fund and related entities

What we are looking for:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
An accounting/ finance professional qualification would be an advantage
Strong understanding of fund structures, regulatory requirements, and distribution processes.
Previous experience in fund management
Fluent written and spoken English
