Financial Controller – Management Company (Luxembourg)
Our client, a well-established Luxembourg Management Company overseeing a diverse range of UCITS and alternative investment structures, is seeking a Financial Controller to join its finance function.

This role offers broad exposure across regulatory reporting, financial oversight, budgeting and strategic support within a regulated ManCo environment.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Oversight & Accounting

Oversee the accounting and financial integrity of the Management Company.
Maintain accurate books and records in accordance with Lux GAAP.
Lead the preparation of annual statutory accounts and coordinate the external audit process.
Ensure timely filing of financial statements and regulatory disclosures.
Budgeting & Forecasting

Support the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
Monitor performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
Contribute financial insight to support business planning and cost management initiatives.
Regulatory & Tax Reporting

Prepare and submit quarterly and annual regulatory reports to the CSSF and relevant group stakeholders.
Oversee corporate tax compliance, including coordination of tax returns and liaison with advisors.
Ensure ongoing compliance with Luxembourg regulatory and reporting requirements applicable to Management Companies.
Fund Oversight & Cost Monitoring

Perform analytical review of fund-level costs and charges, including TER monitoring and benchmarking exercises.
Review NAV-related reporting and support dividend proposal processes across multiple share classes.
Deliver financial analysis and reporting to internal committees and senior management.
Governance & Controls

Prepare Board packs, management reporting and ad hoc financial presentations.
Maintain and strengthen internal control frameworks and documented procedures.
Ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory expectations.
Support process optimisation and finance-related projects across the business.

Candidate Profile
University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or similar.
Professional qualification (ACCA, ACA or equivalent) considered a strong asset.
Relevant experience in financial control, accounting, audit or similar within the asset management or fund industry in Luxembourg.
Solid understanding of Lux GAAP and Management Company regulatory requirements.
Experience interacting with external auditors and regulators.
Strong analytical capability with advanced Excel skills; familiarity with ERP/accounting systems (e.g. SAP or similar) is advantageous.
Structured, detail-oriented and solution-driven mindset.
Fluent in English and French.
