Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Head of Compliance to lead the Luxembourg compliance function for our global asset management business. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all compliance activities related to our UCITS and AIF (Alternative Investment Funds) offerings, ensuring adherence to applicable regulatory requirements, and supporting the business in achieving its strategic objectives in a compliant and ethical manner.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance & Oversight
Act as Conducting Officer for Compliance.
Ensure full compliance with CSSF regulations, UCITS, AIFMD, and other relevant EU and local regulatory frameworks.
Maintain and update the Compliance Manual, policies, and procedures in line with legal and regulatory changes.
Oversee regulatory filings and responses to the CSSF and other competent authorities.
Monitoring & Controls
Develop and implement the annual Compliance Monitoring Program.
Conduct regular compliance reviews and internal audits of business activities.
Monitor investment and distribution activities to ensure adherence to applicable rules (MiFID II, SFDR, AML/KYC, etc.).
Governance & Reporting
Prepare and present compliance reports to the Board of Directors, Management Committees, and the Regulator.
Provide compliance support and oversight to the management company and fund structures domiciled in Luxembourg.
Liaise with internal and external auditors, regulators, and legal advisors as required.
Advisory & Training
Provide regulatory and compliance advice to the business, particularly around fund launches, distribution, marketing, and cross-border activities.
Deliver compliance training to staff across functions.
Support global compliance initiatives and act as the Luxembourg contact point for global compliance projects.
Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop the local compliance team.
Ensure proper resourcing and skill development to meet business and regulatory demands.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
10+ years of compliance experience in the asset management sector within Luxembourg.
Strong knowledge of UCITS, AIFMD, CSSF Circulars, MiFID II, AML, SFDR, and related European regulations.
Proven leadership skills and experience managing a compliance function.
Experience dealing with regulatory inspections and audits.
Fluency in English, French or German is a plus.
