Associate Lawyer – Banking and Finance – Luxembourg

Our client is a standard bearer in financial and legal services, trusted by many of the world’s largest hedge fund managers, private equity firms, and international corporations. The key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

Responsibilities

Advising clients on a wide range of legal matters, with a particular focus on providing legal advice to our clients in general banking transactions (including structured finance and securitisation, fund finance, corporate finance, asset finance, and capital markets)
Working with a client base that comprises domestic and international clients and prestigious foreign law firms
Engaging in business development activities, actively promoting the firm, and seeking opportunities for new work and cross-selling
Working as part of a team, including supervising junior lawyers’ work and actively sharing knowledge and experience within the team

Experience

Up to seven years’ professional experience as a general banking and finance lawyer, ideally gained within a top-tier law firm
Significant experience in structured finance and securitisation
Admission to the Luxembourg Bar or eligibility to be registered on List IV of the Luxembourg Bar
A strong academic background with excellent written communication and drafting skills
Outstanding technical skills, together with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues, and work well in a team environment
Bilingual proficiency in at least English and German
Eligibility to work within Luxembourg
