Assistant Finance Manager – Real Estate Investor – Luxembourg

Our client is a well-established real estate investment company based in Luxembourg, managing a portfolio of assets across Europe.

As the company continues to grow, it is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to support the Finance Director in the accounting, reporting, and financial control of the firm’s Luxembourg entities and real estate investment structures. Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for Luxembourg holding and property companies under Lux GAAP.
Ensure timely and accurate consolidation of financial data across multiple entities.
Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals.
Monitor intercompany transactions, loan balances, and capital movements between entities.
Assist in the preparation of management reports, budgets, and cash flow forecasts.
Support financial analysis related to asset performance, financing, and investment returns.
Prepare variance analysis and commentary for senior management and investors.
Contribute to financial models used for asset valuation and strategic decision-making.
Coordinate annual audits with external auditors and respond to audit queries.
Support the preparation of tax returns and liaise with tax advisors to ensure compliance with Luxembourg regulations.
Ensure all statutory and regulatory filings are completed on time.
Assist with financing activities, including drawdowns, interest calculations, and loan covenant monitoring.
Prepare payment instructions and oversee bank reconciliations.
Support the setup of new entities and onboarding of new investments or acquisitions.
Contribute to the improvement of accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting efficiency.
Participate in system migrations or automation initiatives.

Profile & Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
3–6 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, preferably within real estate, private equity, or investment management.
Experience in a Big 4 firm or fiduciary/accounting service provider in Luxembourg is an asset.
Strong knowledge of Lux GAAP; exposure to IFRS or consolidations is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., BOB50, Yardi, or similar).
Good understanding of Luxembourg corporate structures and investment vehicles (Soparfi, SCSp, SIF, RAIF).
Familiarity with real estate asset accounting, financing, and valuation concepts.
